Graphic 45 tropical travelogue project Part 2 (Gatefold Album)

Okay, so here it is, the second part to the two parts of the tropical travelogue projects I've been working on.

This is a a gatefold album that is 8.5" x 8.5" and made from black cardstock. I started with a base page, but it quickly expanded to be a few layers of folds.

Any questions, don't hesitate to ask! The video will be uploaded soon so you can get a detailed view into what it looks like!! :)

Graphic 45 tropical travelogue project Part 1 (Trinket Box)

So...

Remember how I was afraid to cut into my Graphic45 papers? Well not only did I cut into them, but I made a couple projects with them too!

First up is a trinket box I made.

The box itself was made from chipboard and has the approximate dimensions of 6" x 6" x 1.5". On the top, I left it blank as I may use some letter stickers to personalize it in the future depending on where it ends up and/or who it ends up going to.
As you can see, I painted the chipboard black and covered it with paper from the 8x8 Graphic45 tropical travelogue paper pack. I covered most of the paper on the box with collage pauge (Made by Aleene's) to give it a different texture. The paper lining the bottom of the box on the inside is actually the back cover of the paper pack!

The left side of the box has this awesome fishy chipboard piece on it. It was used to cover a very small space where paper was not covering. Lol

This is the very front of the box. Once again, used a chipboard piece from the collection to make it look like you might just need a key to open this box. :)

Using some e6000 adhesive, I glued some pretty large half pearls to the bottom for standing purposes. I thought of using some box feet from Mr Holtz, but this box is so small, so that would have been major overkill.

Some stamps cut from the paper under a chipboard piece, held down by a brad.

Stamps from the paper line were used to attach the front keyhole to the lid of the box, using e6000.

Another chipboard piece from the paper collection holding in some tags and photo mats.

The whole underside of the box lid.

The inside of the box - Which I used the back cover of the 8x8 paper pack to line. :)

Thanks very much for taking the time to check out one of my latest creation!! Please check back for Part 2 of this project "set".
