Mini album made at Scrapfest Oshawa this year

My craft room is undergoing a huge overhaul at the moment.
While this is happening, I'm finding things here and there that I haven't posted about yet.
This mini album is one of those things. :)

I made this at Scrapfest under Kelly Purkey's guidance in her mini album class.
Her class technique was misting, and since I love getting my hands dirty, this was lots of fun for me!

Pics below! Thanks so much for dropping by!

Stick pin holder!

Hello y'all!

Just wanted to share a stick pin holder that I made from a USB stick container!

The foam that was inside keeping the USB stick from shifting, I cut to be just about a third of the size of the overall container.
I used some patterned paper for the cover and the inside of the container and embellished the front with some flowers and lace that I had previously dyed. :)
After all the recent stick pin swaps I had been in, I needed something to store them in, so I decided on this route.

Feel free to ask any questions about this project!

Sorry for the dark photos - Took these with my not so great tablet camera! I'll upload some brighter pics shortly. :)

Thanks for dropping by!

Sketchy Friday card sketch entry

Not another one!
Ugh, Kerry, you're going crazy.... Is what you may be thinking.

I swear I'm not going crazy, I just need to use up my stash!

This entry is for the Sketchy Friday blog sketch challenge!

I'm sure I'll be quite tired of the pink paislee line "portfolio" once this phase has passed. Lol

613 Avenue challenge entry

No freaking way!
Another post?? With another challenge entry??!

This seems to be the case for me folks; my brain goes into create mode and there's nothing that can be done to stop it... Unless I need to pee. Lol

Now that I've made this post as awkward as it should probably get, here's my entry for the 613 avenue sketch challenge! The sketch itself is quite simple and features a main focal image + a sentiment... What I've done, its turn the main focal image into the sentiment! Win - win!

Of course, once again using scraps from the kit I've previously mentioned twice already in 24 hours. :P

Thanks for taking a look at my work!

Gossamer blue "awesome" challenge

Another post in less than 24 hours??!
Yep!

This time this is to showcase my entry to the gossamer blue challenge!

We had to create a project that either
1) used the word "awesome" on it or
2) was inspired by a quilt on pinterest

Believe it our not, but I haven't quite jumped on the pinterest boat yet... I mean, I have an account, but I'm not a crazy pinner or anything.

Anyway, back to the challenge!
I decided to make a layout with the word awesome in it!

Most of the photos I have are based on awesome events, so picking a pic was pretty easy.

Similar to my last layout, this one was also made using the same kit add on. There's not much left of that add on now except for some washi tape and some ephemera. :)

I got quite a good use out of it I think!

Playing in Paradise #107 entry

Made it in just under the wire!

Here is my take on the Playing in Paradise sketch challenge for this week!

I used a slightly older kit add-on from I think Gossamer Blue? to create this layout with some thickers and basic grey letter stickers!
The photo frame and the ephemera all over the page is from the pink paisley portfolio collection (which came in the kit add on pack). ^_^

Guess I should have posted this up earlier...

Because these are some Valentine's Day ATCs I made in January for February! LOL

Problem is I have so many devices that take photos, I end up "finding" old photos when I least expect it!

Well, here they are - Some Valentine's Day ATCs!

Many thanks for taking a looksee!

Ever heard of an "inchie" before...?

Neither had I until January of this year!

That's when I participated in an inchie swap over at Your Paper Pantry and learned about these adorable things!

1" squared worth of art!

I thought about creating a canvas full of inchies, but that would require entering a lot of swaps, and I'm not sure I'm up for that challenge just yet... Perhaps when I have more time, I'd be more willing to start something like that. :)

Everyone should make a couple inchies every now and then.. It's also a nice way to use up scraps on teeny tiny works of art!

Scrap our stash challenge entry

I'm not going to lie, the challenge at scrap our stash was somewhat hard for me.. Thank goodness it's called a challenge, eh?  :)

Not only do I not have any kraft coloured patterned paper, but I also had to start with a blank page!

I used some of the bazzill basics plain paper as a base.

Then I took apart a mini kraft coloured paper bag and turned the bag portion into a pocket on the page.
Since I'm not a huge fan of wasting things, I also used the bag handles a border embellishments.

My 3 metal items are:
- a small brad, for the tag on the pocket
- a butterfly charm on one of the larger tags
- a large brad where the two handles intersect on the page.

Thank you very much for looking and I appreciate your support tremendously!

Coffee Cup Holder Mini Album

This was a fun album I made for the February mini album swap over at Mini Album Scraps.

I made it in the form of a purse with handles and everything.
I even added feet to it so it could stand when not in use!

It has a magnetized closure, and I've made all the tags the same for simplicity sake - I actually hope to use my mini albums for photos one day, and that's how I make my minis - Functional yet cute. :P

Pictures start here!

Many thanks for stopping by!!
