Shabby Chic Mixed Media 6x6 Burlap Canvas Finished

Alright, alright!

Here is a burlap canvas I completed for a canvas swap I'm in!

It's shabby chic-ish I guess and I *love* it!

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts I believe, and I glittered them up using matte gel medium on the petal edges. I wanted to add glitter to everything after I was done working on this canvas! LOL

Some pictures to leave you with!

Mixed Media Mini Canvas Swap Exchanged!

These are the awesome canvases that I received in exchange for those that I made and posted about here: Mini Canvases, Set of 4, Mixed Media Tutorial (Lots of Pictures).

I love them all and can't wait to add them to my gallery wall in my room!

What gorgeous pieces of inspiration. I'm so glad I got in on this swap and greatly look forward to the next batch of canvases I'm scheduled to receive!!

Thanks for dropping in!

I've been slacking!

So much happening these days, but that's OK because, thankfully, I'm still trying to make pretty things!

One of the recent projects I've made, is based off of Prima's BAP this month!

The sketch is by Jennifer Snyder, and looks a little something like this:

My take on the BAP is not actually made on paper, rotated 180 degrees, and on burlap!

This started out as a blank burlap pennant, meant to be part of a bunting setup.
It came in a set, but I used only one for this project.

Although you can't tell now, the paper I used at the top was from the Prima Princess collection. I was initially trying to keep to the soft colours on that paper line, and then I introduced gesso and  Prima Bloom sprays, and the next thing you know, I've changed the colour scheme completely!

The wood icons I used are also prima, and the stencil I added to the burlap in the background is one of the brick wall stencils that Prima has as well!

Maybe next time I'll be able to stick to my plans... Maybe... LOL

Thanks for stopping by!!
