Some tags I made for a tag swap!

Hey everyone!

So here are some tags I made for a tag swap on Mini Album Scraps.

I actually made some other tags as well, but I forgot to take pics of them before I shipped them. :(

Okie dokie, let's have some photos please!
(I don't know why these photos are so dark considering they were taken in the morning AFTER the sun rose...)

The tags have a photo mat, some washi tape and some bling on one side.

These are all the tags (back side) lined up in a row... The last one had... An incident and I didn't have enough time to make another one; It's covered with an additional journaling spot for that reason. Teehee!

The tags have a stamped & embossed image and a mini tag on the other side!

These are all the tags (front side) lined up in a row. The fronts were a bit more successful. :)

Thanks for looking!

Project photos!

Hello out there!

So I have some photos of a project I "completed"!
I've put "completed" in quotes since I never feel like a project is ever truly complete - There's always something that can be added to it as you go along.

ANYWAY, this is a very, very, VERY basic mini album I've worked on. At the end of the post I'll include the supplies used to make the mini album. :)

And yes, I'm aware some of my photos aren't rotated... For this, I apologize.

Thanks for looking!

Supplies used:
- paper pack mat stack
- cardstock
- adhesive
- magnets
- metal closure
- ribbon

(details on the supplies will be available as soon as I can dig them up again!)

First project on display!

So I FINALLY took some photos of one of my most recent projects.

It was a simple wooden purse box thing with a matching mini album inside of it with a winter theme.

I try very hard not to specifically classify my items to a holiday, but instead to a season. This way, those who don't celebrate certain holidays, can still enjoy the items. :)

And without further delay, here come the photos!
NOTE: I do not know why Blogger/Picasa refuses to use rotated version of the pics, even though they are rotated in my album.  If this changes, I will remove this disclaimer from the post.  For now, I must apologize for the fact that you may have to rotate your head 90 degrees to see a couple of the pics properly.

The album in the wooden purse box thing

The album sitting on top of the purse box thing

The box on its own

The very front of the mini album

First 'spread' of the mini album - The front page lifts up to expose these two pockets, each with their own tag

Middle 'spread' of the mini album - There's a massive tag in that pocket on the right

A very blurry picture of the last 'spread' of the mini album

The back of the mini album

They make a pretty cute pair ^_^

I plan on uploading a video about this pair to YouTube as well. Once that's all done, I'll post the video on this post as well!
I uploaded a video with more detail on this set!

Oshawa ScrapFest 2012

Guess where I was this past weekend?!??!?

ScrapFest Oshawa 2012!!!!

What a blast it was!! I mean, I'm not a major crop attendee by any means - I've gone to a couple here and there. This event made me that much more interested in attending more crops... Especially extended crops that last 12+ hrs.

I was the most productive this past weekend than any other weekend spent doing paper crafts. I finished 4 projects and had time to start a 5th! I'll be posting the stuff I've finished on my blog and on my Etsy page a bit later since I still have to take photos of everything.

If you're a paper crafter, I highly recommend this event. The vendors didn't even have to be there for me to have as much fun as I did. I met people I had contacted in the past regarding paper crafts, and I finally got to meet people who run scrapbook stores that I've ordered from or thought of ordering from.

The same folks that run ScrapFest also run CropFest as well (just crops, not a vendor based event).

No, they aren't paying me to say this - I truly enjoyed being there and hanging out with everyone! The only downside was that the Tim Horton's at the college campus where we were cropping, closed at 2 PM on Saturday... The crop was done at 9 PM! We had 7 hours of just basic coffee and tea! How unfortunate, I know! :P

Anyway, the weekend couldn't have gone better - I spent more than 4 hrs driving round trip to this event on both days, and I wouldn't have changed it for anything!

Make sure to check it out!!!!

Come visit me at the Christmas Craft & Gift Show!

Well, would you look at that!

I've reserved a spot as a vendor at the Guelph Christmas Craft & Gift Show!

The schedule for the show is as follows:
November 9th, from 2 PM to 8 PM
November 10th, from 8 AM to 4 PM

As of the day of posting this, there are also 25 other vendors that will also be there selling other handmade things from jewelry, to hand-knit items, to custom made clothing and more!!

Hope to see you there!

If you mention seeing this blog post, then you get a little gift-ie  from me as well. ;)
Of course I can't say what it will be, but I promise it won't be horrible. ^_^

I may also be a part of the one day Kitchener show that's happening halfway through November should time permit, so stay tuned for information on that.

And so it begins...

Hello there!!

Thank you for stopping by my blog!!

I am simply a hobbyist crafter that is trying to make it in the real crafting world. And by this I don't mean very much except that I'm trying to learn to be the best crafter I can be!

As a crafter that started with knitting, I must say that I *love* working with fibers... And yarns and weird threads. After my knitting "phase", I moved on to sewing. Which I also like to do - Nothing crazy or anything, but I've made my fair share of funky skirts... Many of which get those reactions like: "OMG, where did you buy that?!" Love those reactions!
This year, I was introduced to scrapbooking. I guess, you can say that the rest is history, because with scrapbooking, I can incorporate both sewing (stitching on paper!) and knitting (knitting pieces to incorporate with paper altered stuff).

I've always been a big fan of stationery, but I never really knew about *real* scrapbooking until this year when I took a scrapbooking class for fun. All of a sudden, my love for paper, and my love for crafting in general finally had a place to come together!

Anyway, to make a long story short, this blog will be where I share info on my trek through the crafting world. Particularly living as a Canadian in my native country of Canada. It seems things are quite different up here when it comes to paper arts compared to the United States, the UK and even Australia! (I know there's paper crafting everywhere in the world, but those are the spots that came to mind first).

I would like to do a giveaway of some kind by the end of the month, so keep checking back to see what the giveaway is and how to enter yo win it - whatever it ends up being! :)
